OK, I changed sites again. Turns out Wordpress is better than both Xanga and Blogspot. Head here...

For those of you who suscribe to this, I thought I would suprise you by posting. Fun, isn't it! My real blog is still at www.alindop.blogspot.com.  I have nothing more to say.

The 500th day of my Xanga membership seems a fitting time to once again split-up. Again, I have decided to write at Blogspot instead, for reasons which I state over there, but mostly cos it's better. I'd like to think that all of you, my loyal readers, will not be too bothered by this and will cope with the extra stress of adding a different site to your bookmarks, or simply clicking the link here. Maybe I'll even write a sentence here, so you can get a notice in your subscriptions to know I've updated (but probably not, thats far too much effort).

Anyway, this blog is dead (mostly), long live the new (well, revamped and updated more often) blog! Go to it here!!

Well, I guess it's about time to start posting regularly again. Not that any of you have really missed me, but I like to massage my own ego.

So, what have I been doing, I don't hear you all shouting. Well, I returned from the middle east, spent a bit of time, and then my mum took me on holiday to Venice for a couple of nights. This was particularly beautiful. Bit wierd to go to such a romantic city with your mum, but hey! Particularly proud of the fact that I didn't go to a single art gallery while I was there! But the Naval museum was great - lots of old diving stuff!

Since then, its been my birthday, for which I went snowboarding on real snow! Which made me wish it was winter again. And I went clubbing with my one friend left in Derby, which was horrible as we were probably the oldest people in there.

Anyway, to finish, off, and as a special request from Brittney, here are some pictures of the Middle East and Venice, including the tigers that lived below our bedroom.....

In fact, let me revise that. Xanga sucks for uplaoding pictures, so if you would like to see my pretty pictures, please click this pretty link....

Just spent the last 2 days tr5aveling around Galilee and the northern part of Israel. Flippin amazing. We visited far too many places to list, but particularly cool was Capernaum, where they've found Peter's mother in law's house, where Jesus lived whilst doing his ministry, the place where Jesus sent demons into pigs and they all round down a hillside and drowned, and today, visiting some of the nature reserves, and the ancient Israelite city of Dan. This was particularly impressive, not only because they've found the palce of the altar and 'high places' that King Jerobaum set up (read from 1 Kings 11:25 if you're interested)", but also an ancient mud brick gate to the old city that stood there before the Danites sacked it (Judges 18). Experts also believe that this is where the gate Abraham would have gone through to rescue Lot (Genesis 14). Pretty cool, huh?

Also very intesrsting was visinting Israeli bunkers in the Golan heights (mountains right on the border with Syria) and learnign all about the political history. It really gave me a much better appreciation for the situation here, and I feel I can understand a little better how the Israelis and Arabs feel.

In other news, we had a great barbeque on friday at the beach. Loads of students turned up and lots of spiritual conversations were had. One girl even left praying that god would reveal to her whether or not Jesus was the messiah!

I hear Britain's pretty rainy at the mo. I have a tan and today I got sunburnt
